LOCH LEVEN NURSERY Quality Plants Direct To You From The Grower like us on FB

Loch Leven has been made a Garden of National Significance by the New Zealand Garden Trust  and given the rating of 5 stars.

Over the last 30 years Doreen and Mike have created a 3 acre garden at Loch Leven. Hedging has been used extensively to give shelter, structure, formality and definition with standard topiary plantings near the house. Large borders are filled with a rich array of plants including roses, rhododendrons, shrubs, perennials, hostas, irises and peonies. Deciduous trees planted throughout the large lawn and garden give shade and spectacular autumn colour, especially the Claret Ashes. A dry-stone walled garden is planted predominantly in silvers and greys all of which tolerate the harsh climate conditions this area is renowned for. A more naturalistic planting of natives and grasses on the outskirts blends with large rocks and wire art. A small orchard with espaliered fruit trees and raised potager vegetable beds are seasonally productive.

Visitors are welcome at Loch Leven Garden and Nursery.

The garden is open by appointment.

Bookings are essential for morning and afternoon teas and lunches. Price on application.
